Chickpea Puree( Hummus )

Place all ingredients in the food processor ( or blend by hand) and blend on medium speed until creamy.

 

If the mixture is still too thick add more lemon juice or oil.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve on wheat toast canapes. Add slice of black olive and a parley leaf
  • Excellent substitute for mayonaise
  • Use as a dip for raw veges
  • Spread on pita with grilled vegetables
  • Serve with grilled chicken on pita. Romaine lettuce.
  • Adds flare to vegetarian sandwiches

480 ml cooked chick peas
120 ml sesame butter (Tahini)
60 ml cold-pressed olive oil
80 ml fresh lemon juice
2-3 crushed garlic cloves
1/2 ts salt
1ts dry mint leaves (optional)
